Question 1

Is it safe to have treatment in Thailand?

Accepted Answer

Thailand is one of the world's leading destinations for medical travel, with internationally trained specialists and providers built for international patients. We work only with carefully vetted providers, and the named specialist within them, never a nameless package.

Question 2

How do I know my specialist is right?

Accepted Answer

Before you commit, you understand exactly who will treat you: their training, their record, their approach, and a video consultation with that specialist. If you are not confident, we re-match.

Question 3

What happens if something goes wrong?

Accepted Answer

Before anything is booked, you will know the complication protocol for your procedure: who acts, where you would be treated, and how revisions are handled — including what the hospital covers and what it does not. Complication cover can be arranged as part of your plan. And you are never left to negotiate with a hospital alone; that is what we are for.

Question 4

Is it safe to travel home after treatment?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with the right timing. Your specialist clears you when it is medically safe, and your concierge arranges the return only after that clearance.

Question 5

Can my family travel with me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We arrange family accommodation, assistance and activities, so your companions are cared for while you focus on healing. Many of our clients travel as a family.

Question 6

What about care once I am home?

Accepted Answer

Recovery support and long-term follow-up continue after you return, with your records prepared for your home physician. The journey does not end at the airport.

Question 7

Who is Golden Lotus for?

Accepted Answer

Discerning international clients seeking guidance, optimisation and lasting outcomes, not simply a procedure. Membership is by application, and our network is intentionally selective.

Question 8

How does Golden Lotus earn its fee?

Accepted Answer

Two ways, and neither is hidden. We charge a service fee for planning and coordinating your journey — you see it as its own line, never buried inside a medical bill. We also hold partner agreements with the hospitals and residences we work with, as most concierges do. What matters is the order of operations: your case is matched to a provider against our standard first; the commercial terms never choose your specialist.

Question 9

How does the application work?

Accepted Answer

A confidential consultation, no commitment. We discuss your goals and tell you honestly whether we can help. We respond within forty-eight hours.

Question 10

I live in Europe. What does aftercare look like once I am home?

Accepted Answer

Your complete record travels home with you: operative notes, imaging and prescriptions, in English, prepared for your own physician. Review calls are scheduled into the months that follow, and your concierge remains your single point of contact. If your doctor has questions, we put them in front of your surgeon.

Question 11

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Everything is quoted individually, in writing, before you decide: one figure covering treatment, stay, transfers and aftercare. Nothing is added without your agreement.

Question 12

How is Golden Lotus paid?

Accepted Answer

Our fee is a service charge, stated in your written quote. Like most travel concierges, we also receive commissions from some of the hotels and hospitals we work with. Your total is agreed in writing before you decide, and nothing is added without your agreement.

Question 13

How is my information handled?

Accepted Answer

Your enquiry is read by a small team. Nothing is shared with any hospital or clinic until you approve it, nothing you tell us is used for advertising, and if you choose not to proceed, your enquiry is deleted on request. The full detail is set out on our privacy page.

Question 14

Can I speak with a past client?

Accepted Answer

Our clients' privacy is not negotiable, so we never volunteer names. With their consent, discreet references can sometimes be arranged.
